I began creating handmade Valentines for family and friends years ago, filled with vintage postcard images and adorned with lace and glitz. Antique Valentines were my original inspiration with their layers of doilies and nostalgic images. My greeting cards now include major holidays and life’s celebrations. In addition, I produce lines of both photography and linoleum-print cards. On a slightly philosophical note, I feel as though we seem to have lost the art of taking the time to sit quietly and write a letter. In honor of the past, I hope that my greeting cards encourage communication the old-fashioned way. I am lucky enough to live in Burlington VT with my sweetheart, Terry, and enjoy studio space in a renovated building behind my home. I’m a member of Amnesty International, Old North End Arts & Business Network, Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, Vermont Hand Crafters, Vermont Public Radio, Vermont Public TV, and Women Businesses Owners Network.
