I was only eight years old when I came across an old, faded clapboard shed in the North Vermont village. It is a small glass-melting furnace. It was incredibly hot. That's what I did, fascinated by the power and majesty of glass. This is the oldest and most basic craft materials. I just love to make glass—anything, anytime, anyway possible. I make work that has secrets and surprises, almost hidden details that require the viewer to interact with the piece, turning it over in their hands, then finding something beautiful.
